Terms of service | Nulx
Terms covering the use of Nulx services.
1. Service overview
Nulx provides video upload, storage, playback, and management workflows for business teams.
2. Accounts and access
Account information must be accurate and must not impersonate other people or organizations. Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing (bcrypt) - we never have access to your plaintext password.
3. Content responsibility
Customers are responsible for uploaded content and must not upload unlawful or infringing material.
4. Fees and plan limits
Some services are paid. Each plan has limits on video duration per upload and total storage; current limits are shown on the pricing page and in your account settings. Customers may optionally configure webhook endpoints to receive event notifications (such as upload or transcoding completion) at a URL they provide; each notification is signed with an HMAC signature so the endpoint can verify it came from Nulx.
5. Plan changes
You can change your plan at any time from account settings. A plan change takes effect immediately (the same day), and your bill for that period is prorated by day between the old and new plan's base fee.
6. Payment failure and account status
If a billing statement remains unpaid 14 days after it is finalized, we mark it overdue and send a reminder to your billing email. If it remains unpaid for a further 7 days (21 days total), your account is marked past due and new uploads are suspended until payment is received; existing playback and embeds are not affected by this status alone. Paying the outstanding statement automatically restores your account to active status.
7. Billing & refunds
Usage-based charges are calculated from metered usage (storage, egress, transcoding minutes) plus your plan's base fee for the billing period. If you believe a charge is wrong, request a refund within 30 days of the statement date via /contact or your billing email; refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the charge (PayPal, or Creem where applicable). Partial refunds may be issued to correct billing errors (for example, a metering or plan-fee miscalculation). Any dispute about a statement must be raised within 60 days of the statement issue date; disputes raised after that window may not be eligible for adjustment.
8. Cancellation and data deletion
You can cancel your subscription at any time, self-serve, from your account settings - no need to contact support. Once cancellation is confirmed, your account is deactivated and your data is deleted following our internal deletion procedure within 30 days (see our Privacy Policy, "Deletion procedure"). Existing public video embeds may continue to play until deletion completes; take down any embeds you no longer want playing before deletion finishes if that matters to you.
9. Service availability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" during this early-access period. We do not currently offer a formal service-level agreement (SLA) with uptime credits; if that changes, this section will be updated to reflect the specific commitment. We are not liable for interruptions caused by force majeure or broader infrastructure failures beyond reasonable control.
10. Governing law
[LEGAL REVIEW: insert the operating legal entity name, registered address, and the governing law/jurisdiction for disputes arising from these terms before launch.]
